Dr. Gurda is a practicing surgical pathologist at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital, and serves as a medical director for the biobank and molecular oncology at the Gundersen Medical Foundation/Kabara Cancer Institute.  He was elected as a fellow of the College of American Pathology and is an adjunct assistant professor at University of Wisconsin – La Crosse (UW-L).

My interests lie at the intersection of endocrinology and neoplasia, particularly gastroenterology and women’s health (breast and GYN oncology).  My goal is to combine molecular diagnostics and histomorphology analytics to improve care for important, but hard to recognize forms of common cancers.
